THE DREAMGIVER: A NOT SO ORDINARY WEEKEND

The weekend of the 2nd to the 4th of August 2019 my dream came true. For the last 5 years I have been dreaming AND struggling with this dream. Some part of me wanted to run as far and as fast as I could AWAY from this dream. And, believe me, I tried. But, in the end, every year at the end of the year this dream would pop right up and yell: "What about this year?". At long last, at the end of 2018 I realised that there was no use in trying to run away again: it was 2019 or nothing. And, very reluctantly, I started doing the homework and putting in the hours and the research. And all the time I was so scared and so anxious about doing it. But what I found was the minute I started thinking about this dream, it started becoming a reality: first in my mind, then in my heart and then there was no turning around again.

In the end, we were a group of seven people, 2 of the group were presenting specific topics and I was leading the sessions and teaching the crafts. This was supposed to be a try-out session only, but it ended up being exactly what I wanted it to be. I believe that this weekend proved to me that this is exactly what I should be doing in the future. I felt the passion, saw the reaction from our group members and loved the teaching as I always do when I present craft classes. I have no greater dream than to be a part of something so special again. I am praying for more such opportunities for as long as I am able to do this. Ordinary is not what this weekend was, it was extraordinary, passion-filled, powerfully motivating and more than I would have believed a year ago.
